  • Opening books  (Creates, Merges and uses)
  • Book learning . During the game Terra keep track of what opening was good or bad and stores for future use.
  • Post book learning.  When leaving the book Terra "extends" the book line with the first computed moves, by storing the results or those as well. Post book is stored separated from the opening book.
  • End game table bases (EGTB) . Terra will consult E. Nalimovs compressed EGTB's if they are found. Currently up to 5 men positions i spossible.
  • Pondering during opponents thinking.
  • Different time levels, including fisher time.
  • Analysis mode . While user moves pieces back and forth, Terra is giving it's analyses about the current position.
  • Hash tables
  • Will resign when things are bad enough. (Adjustable)
  • Will offer draws and accept draw offers when "in the mood". (Adjustable)
  • Test suites . Giving a test suite in EPD format, with the right move(s) and/or 'avoid moves', Terra will go through all positions and keep count of how many hits and failures was achieved.
  • WinBoard Protocol  Version 2 enabled
  • UCI Protocol  enabled
  • A lot of options  to control Terra behavior
  • Will read and write EPD-format
  • Will read and write PGN-format
